About

Min Bark is a German artist based in Stuttgart and Lake Constance. She studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart under Christian Jankowski and Mike Bouchet and was a master student under:

- Prof.*in Ricarda Roggan
- Prof. Dr. Nils Büttner
- Marco Hompes, MA Museum Heidenheim
- “Weissenhof Programm”, Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart.

Bark works with a variety of media which she combines in her projects. The sculptures and objects form part of her projects that undergo a lengthy process, which can span over many years. This becomes apparent in her work such as “Search for Mother”, “Getting Serious” and  “Getting Naked”. The work "Getting Naked" is part of the collection at Galerie Böblingen. The extensive development phases of her work stand in stark contrast to the growing pace within the art scene, which requires that artists produce ever more quickly.

She deals with a variety of topics that relate to her own personal experiences. These usually involve questions about time and power, origins and the search for the things lost and new.
